AFFAIRS ARE A DANGEROUS GAME

Everyone is looking to have some intimacy in their life. Some people go about it the wrong way, by choosing men that are otherwise unavailable. There may be some sort of thrill of dating married people but affairs are a dangerous game as it does not only affect your life, but the life and family of the married person you are dating.

When you choose to have an affair with a married person you are essentially saying that your life, and your happiness comes above and beyond anyone else with no forethought as to how many people will end up hurt in the end. Dating a married person is one of the most selfish things a person can do. Regardless if you are a dating a married man or married women.

There are other ways to find intimacy besides having an affair. Yes it’s thrilling, and exciting in the beginning but you have to stop and think about whether or not it will be worth it in the end. When the affair is discovered, and they usually are, you will most likely be labeled a home wrecker. Can you live with this label following you around? Is intimacy worth the heartache an affair will cause.

You also have to take into consideration the person you are having the affair with. If they don’t respect their spouse enough to end the relationship first, or to not have the affair to begin with, what kind of respect are they going to show you. If he/she is able to cheat on their spouse, the one person they have vowed to cherish and love above all others, do you honestly believe that he/she would not cheat on you if given the opportunity? For those who say no, you are fooling yourself. As the old saying goes, once a cheater, always a cheater holds true in most cases.

Most people don’t go out looking for an affair. If the person isn’t honest with you about their marital status before the intimacy of your relationship begins it will be harder for you to break it off once it is found out. And if you have any respect for yourself that is exactly what you should do if you find out the person you are dating is married. Break it off and go your separate way. Affairs are a dangerous game and people always get hurt in the end.
